Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that affects thousands of people. It can begin with a "blush" or redness, and can progress from intermittent to constant. Although this condition does not affect one's physical health, it can often make patients extremely self-conscious.

If untreated, rosacea can result in persistent redness and prominent tiny blood vessels, especially in the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead.

Patients with pimples and rosacea may also develop rhinophyma - a severe enlargement of the nose.
